"The things you used to think of as mistakes are now just learning experiences, so don't waste time beating yourself up. You'll encounter small failures — everyone does. But you'll achieve success, too." Jillian Michaels from biggest loser.

I made a mistake yesterday.  We were running out of time before the circus(which really wasn't a circus at all-no animals, no trapeze, no highwire) anyways I split some fries with my husband and ate a honeybutter scone. UGH!  I was up half the night wanting to puke my guts out.  I am really starting to learn that unhealthful foods make me ill.  I have given up a lot things I used to love because they make my stomach sick.  I just hadn't figured it out with the fries yet.

4.3 miles in the afternoon on treadmill, unsure on time because the kids kept resetting it for me but at least I knew my distance.  11.25 mile bike ride with some major head wind a lot of the way (remember the high wind storm warnings we had-oh yeah baby!)  Wow, I pulled the kids in the trailer for extra resistance for a harder workout, it took me over an hour but it was still killer with that wind.  We also so a truck who blew a tire and started a bunch of fires along 201 freeway, it got really big very fast.  Then we saw all the fire trucks come flying by but by the time we made it back they had it out.  Hurray for the fire department!

It is all a learning process, you are making great strides! Dang those nasty fries anyway!! I like your positive attitude!! You are on a great journey, go Laurie!!!!

Thank you for you comments leslie, I love them. Hey the west valley fitness center tri is August 9th. I'm thinking about doing it. They have two divisions, 200m swim, 7 mile bike, 1.3 run, or 400m 14mile and 5k run. It's $30 and includes raffle and breakfast.

And how are things going with you and family?

You should do the tri and we can compare notes, my tri is Aug. 23. I am scared spitless.

The family is holding up well, we are so excited that Paul is leaving the ICU today and going upstairs to rehab.

Did you decide to run the Draper run this weekend? Or some other run?

Best thing to do with fries is lay them out respectfully on the earth. Sea gulls love 'em.

Thanks for the comment on the fries. I never knew they affected me so much but I haven't eaten more than 3-4 at a time for about six months. Now I know. I am doing a long run with some friends on Saturday, no 5k I really need a long run and as soon as that is over I get to start reading breaking dawn which I am going to be buying at 12:01am that morning. :)

I got sick like that last year at the fair when I had a greasy fried something or other with powdered sugar on it!

I have been trying to add your blog name to my user options and for some reason it won't add your name...It's weird..

Talk about adventure! This running business is FULL of all kinds of great stuff! I'm so glad you survived!

Sorry about the fried foods... a moment of silence! :D Live and learn. I LOVE to bake my fries- you can eat a TON with little points and no grease ;D
