| | I only lasted a little while before I was itching all over like mad. I was bright red, even though I was running indoors and not in the cold. When I stepped off I was a bit naseous and I think it was because of my lingering cold. YUCK. Sleep deprivation might of helped. I did get a bit of leg work in once I recovered and while my kids were still in dance class. Think I will get a gym membership. Why not workout if i am already there. I just took a tutoring job, not like I don't have enough to do already, but it's my neighbors kid and they are really great people. So maybe I'll make enough to pay for the membership. |

| | I am soooooooo out of shape. I need to keep on this. I was gone from 6a to 7:30p today. UGH. I did one fairly easy mile. My lungs don't like it, but they'll get better. This used to be so easy. Leslie has been baiting me with trail running and that sounds so entirely therapeutic!! I need to be in half decent shape so we can trail it again. Still got to get off those holiday, no running pounds. I seem to get them off every summer but winter kills me. I need to move to a place with no winter. |
| |
| | 1 mile with my daughter. She wants to run a race so we are trying to get ready for the Race for a Cure. Mother's Day tradition, I will run it will my mother-in-law too. Arm workout later in the day. Ouch. I'm out of shape so I don't want to run, won't get in shape unless I run. Catch 22, but at least the weather is great:) |
| |
| | Around the fitness center with Natalie. She did great. We shaved 2 minutes off yesterdays time. Knock it up to being less distracted with brother. |
| |
| |
cross training miles. I got a new road bike this weekend to be able to workout with my rehabilitating husband. We did 4 miles today, to the post office, to the bank, and then home. Kids were in the trailer.

| | Family ride to piano lessons, then Chris and I went out for about 5 miles during the class. It's so much easier on a road bike than a mountain bike. I am planning on doing the little red riding hood bike. I think that I might try for the 62 miler..............it's on June 6, the day after school gets out. I am also debating the Logan Marathon and running with salt lake fit again. |
| | 7.2 mile bike up to 20 miles per hour. Love my road bike:) |
| | twice around outside of sugar house plus a bit extra. Think it is about 4. Feels pretty good, but I am so slow again. Glad to back at it. |
| |
| | very slow, I hate this, maybe without work this summer I can be semi normal again...........lots of walking |
| | 17.3 on my bike on the legacy trail. Chris was hauling kids. I got up to 21 mph on some sprints, but averaged around 13. I might soon be ready to start commuting on my bike. But I think I am going to try and sale my new bike and get one with drop down handlebars to help with my carpel tunnel. |
| | 6 miles on my bike. speed up to 20 mph...............ouch. Nana was in piano lessons during that time, new family tradition. Piano lessons=bike ride time :) |
| | at least a mile while running from geocache to geocache. What a fun way to go out for a job and do a scavanger hunt along the way.............. |
| | 26.5 miles on bike on the the legacy parkway trail. I am liking my bike, it's cute, not pink, but still cute. So in the biking world does anybody now what 26 miles is? Like is it 5 of running for someone training for a marathon? Is that distance good, not bad, or just an ultra beginner? |
| |
| | 10 minutes of Jillian michael strength...all the time I had before work. I came home and mowed a good section of my lawn with a push, completley manual mower......planning a good ride for tomorrow |
| | a little over 3 miles before I wasn't paying enough attention and went over the handlebars. Got some lovely road rash, and a bunch of body aches....and a bruise from my helmet. thank heavens for that and my gloves. Saved me a lot pain |
| |
| | slow walk jog. Couldn't stand a lot of movement due to biking injuries but at least my arm is most comfortable in a bent position. Have a lot of work to do until I'm ready for Logan :) But only 5 more weeks of school and I get all 7th graders next years. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hall le lu jaaaaaaaaaaaaaah |
| | Warmer weather means going greener :) We walked, kids in stroller-I pushed. The five mile round trip to the library. I was walking as fast as I could while pushing, cant rotate my body much do to my biking injuries still. 19 more day of school and I can have a little less stress and just start tackling the new year and improving my lesson plans. I think at the start of every unit I will give the students a list of all required vocabulary and the concepts that they will need to have mastered to be able to pass the test. Anyone have comments on that? I am heading out tomorrow with Krash for 30+ bike ride. Well whatever we can get done in 2:15 |
| | 22 miles biking. It was pretty good but I was jumpy from my last accident. Didn't want anyone or any thing getting close to me. I got ran off the road once by a truck without a turn signal who was prematurely entering a turn lane. And SHE was the one with choice words about me?! |
| |
| | 5.5 biking. fairly decent pace. I loved it, and no crashes this time. It was the same course I biffed two weeks ago, and still have bruises and sore ribs from. But no broken bones. Hurray |
| | 8 miles on bike with family |

Churchill Fun Run (3.1 Miles) 00:50:00 | | Hurray for Churchill. What a fun tradition, they have a 5k race every year and the kids can pay 2 dollars to get out of class and go run. I walked with some other teachers at a brisk pace and that was rough up a couple hills. Very enjoyable, we passed so many slackers and I mean a lot like 100 or more. Man do these kids have no pride? I never would have been caught dead being passed by OLD teachers, WALKING! Afterwards the students could buy waterballoons to throw at the teachers and I willing stood in my assigned area but I didn't have very many people going after me, I was fairly dry. Other teachers came out in ponchos, and umbrellas. Pretty fun |

This is kind of a race report but I don't have a distance, all I know is we covered a lot of ground and I am tired. 5 hours of racing, jumping on trax, finding geocaches, getting all the clues, running up to the capital I am beat! It was great fun and Churchill Jr. High won 40 gps watches to use in our classrooms. A prize worth $8,000!!! |

ADC 5k (3.5 Miles) 00:52:00, Place overall: 97, Place in age division: 31 | |
The person they had marking the turn in the course didn't do her job, so a lot of people added a lot of miles to the run. But on the other hand the raffle was awesome, little giant ladders, bed n breakfast getaways. Not bad. had a great time. My mother in law got second in her division. Natalie got 7th but her age group was 1-12, yeah, like that is really close in abilities with that age group.

| | 11 or so miles on the bike. I think we estimated a bit on the low side just to be safe, Chris thinks high side but anyways we are close to that. Fairly easy with a good climb up to the library, that reminds me, I have to go hunt down strawberry shortcake. "hello ho ho I'm here" |
| | 45 mile bike. Utah fairground out and around lagoon, a few little more to add a few miles and back home. I am tired and I hurt. ooooooowwwwwww |
| | about 9-10 fun easy miles around the airport. We had some of chris' coworkers come with us. Jen is a newbie and was riding a mountain bike, so we really got an easy ride. It was fun. 2 more weeks until the 67 miler little red riding hood |
| |
| | 64 miles on my bike during the little red riding hood. I hurt. Some pain is very similar to marathoning while others are new or non existents. What was funny was how long it took to get to my incapacitated state. I was doing great until about 6 hours after my finish. I almost quit in the middle after a hard section the terrain leveled and I was able to continue moving forward at a decent pace. I love the wolf they had and the bearded man as little red riding hood I dressed as grandma. Even had fuzzy pink bunny slippers on my pedal. Curlers in my hair and a shower cap over helmet. I work a purple mumu and knee high stocking and had a basket full of cookies on my bike. I met mr. bad (naught word) coffee guy. He was very nice. I had fun calling him that he he. School is out and I am going to start training. Probably not a ton, i like this biking thing but something. |
| | Hike up to Mt. Timp and did the cave tour. Killer on the calves up, not so nice on the knees down............. |
| | 1 mile on the treadmill. Keeping it slow. I know I can do more I just don't know if I WILL do more. So trying to keep my miles low and just be more consistent. No big races in the future. It's hard when your partner is injured. I also did 10 min on treadmill without power. OUCH pushing that thing along hurt. |
| | still nice and slow. I have a hard time not speeding up just to finish faster.................... .1 cool down when finished. I really just need to lose a little weight to feel better and fit in my clothes that worked just last year. |
| |
| | didn't do my mile today. But I did do 8 miles on my bike on the Jordan River Parkway. |
| | just keep movin just keep moving |
| |
| | did my little mileage, then off to donate blood and then to the zoo to see the new baby snow leopard. Can't wait to see the baby elephant when it finally arrives. |
| | 15.6 miles on the bike. Our friend who wanted to come with us is not an early riser so we didn't start until after 9am. Wow it was hot. It felt so much better to be moving than to stand still. |
| | 10.6 miles in 43 minutes. It was a good push, we had fun. Our friend had been riding a bike waaaaay too big for her so we swapped bikes around and had a great ride. |
| | 1 mile just to get it done. Now I have to get ready and take to do a tire pressure check/rotation, oil change and alignment. UGH! Then it's off to swim class and free lunch before I take the kids to a sitter so I can go to class for 4 hours. Long day here I come. Planning a 40-50miler bike tomorrow. I am trying to get ready for a cache county century ride at the end of August. |
| | 17 miles on bike. It was warm and we were doing too many loops and called it quits. |
| | 2 miles walking through the botanical gardens in Vancouver BC. I got to see 20th century fox shooting marmaduke too! Then a lot of walking through the stores at gransville island :) I'd never been to canada before |
| | Started at 8 the night before and spent the next 24hrs putting cones/signs in place. Picking up trash, training volunteers, and picking all the cones for about 30 miles of the Ragnar Northwest passage relay. Had a great time and them help take down the whole thing at the end. Man I am beat my legs kill but I had a ton of fun. |
| | 21 on the bike. We rode to the state fairgrounds and back. Quick stop at sis in laws to get a water refill. |
| | 41 on my bike. It was quite a long ride. found some great places to go though. |
| | 8 on my bike. and about two miles uphill. We went from 3100 s to about 4300 south. Yeah, I may have been heading south but I was heading North in elevation. Felt like I was gonna barf at the top. Maybe I should ride 20 minutes after dinner? |
| |
| | Treadmill- it was a preprogrammed workout on the trainer so varying hills and speed. Good workout for me. |
| | 3 miles increasing speed about every half mile. Then .25 cool down. I forgot how good this feels. Just want to lose a little more weight before I feel comfortable to go outside in public! GASP! |
